Sound System at Rocsters Venues

Three Speaker "Trisonic"

Sound System

We now have a three speaker "Trisonic" system controller which provides a stereo sound over the whole of the dance floor by sending a special signal to three speakers. This overcomes the problems with using stereo from just two speakers - unless you are standing on a thin line down the dance floor you will only hear one speaker or the other and miss out on the benefits of stereo - you would be better off going back to the days of the 78 rpm record and having the music played in mono! At least you would be hearing all the instruments. The system controller is doing something clever with the music to get this stereo effect everywhere - it's not just mono in the middle speaker - click here if you really want to know.

Volt Co-Axial Dual Concentrics
In our mission to deliver the best sound possible we've invested a lot of time and money into finding the right equipment, specifically with dance events in mind. Some of our kit might look a bit tired from the outside - it's gets moved four times for each event, in and out of the house and then in and out of the venue! We've run over 2,000 classes and events since we started. That's over 8,000 trips per speaker - who needs the gym?

Volt Co-Axial Dual Concentrics
As an example of the quality kit we use, take a look at the co-axial Volt Drivers that are in our Hill Powercube P3 speakers. These drivers are very special and very expensive with the treble coming out of the middle of the woofer - this gives a quality sound reproduction where you can hear every instrument. However, the new price of these speakers is now £1,800 each! Click here for a review. We have other speakers too, but the Powercubes are the ones Andy loves - like audiophile HiFi, but at higher volumes for a big venue.

And, when it comes to dancing, as they say in the Meghan Trainor Song, it's "All About That Bass". So we have a crossover to send the low notes to an eighteen inch subwoofer. This helps you to really feel the beat.
